i Chat is a structured communication focused social skills class. This group is intended to support children with the challenges that impede successful social interaction (challenges include; communication skills, attention/focus, lack of initiating with peers, and limited social motivation). Each student is assessed in regards to communication level/abilities and supports needed to have successful social interactions. The overall goal is to increase spontaneous, independent, and flexible use of social communication skills.
