Counseling Services

At Interactive Kids, we strive to provide our clients and their families with quality mental health services, informative resources, and most importantly, hope. Backed by our group of compassionate and experienced therapists, we treat behavioral and mental health challenges in children and young adults. Our goal is to help each client decrease distress and improve their ability to reach one’s fullest potential.

Our Strength-Based treatment approaches may include Trauma-Based Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, or a unique combination based on the needs and preferences of our clients.

“If they can’t learn the way we teach, we teach the way they learn.”

Lynne Farbman is the Director of our Counseling programs,  Marlton social skills programs, and works out of our Marlton office. Lynne is both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. In her 20 years of experience, Lynne has worked in homes, partial hospital programs, schools, camps, and outpatient settings with young children through adults, both neurotypical and those with different developmental needs. She loves supervising developing therapists and enjoys their growth as professionals.

Though she has training in many different modalities, most often Lynne takes a behavioral and solution focused approach to her practice. Lynne strongly believes that effecting therapy starts with building a strong and trusting relationship, where collaboratively she can then work with individuals and their families on identifying the emotions and behaviors that are impacting their daily life and how that energy can be used to achieve desired outcomes.

Outside of work, Lynne has two daughters whose extra-curricular aspirations keep her busy. She is heavily involved volunteering in the performing arts department of her youngest daughter’s school. Though a life-long resident of south jersey, Lynne loves to be anywhere tropical and could happily spend days sitting and watching sea turtles. In her free time, Lynne likes to escape reality through fantasy novels.

Christy Stack is the Supervisor of our Linwood Counseling and Social Skills programs, and works out of our Linwood office.  Christy is both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. Over the last 25 years, Christy has worked in outpatient mental health, school-based services, and clinic-based outpatient settings with young children through adults. Christy has 17 years’ experience in the public-school setting as a school social worker providing solution-based counseling to students and case management for children with IEPS as part of the Child Study Team.  Christy has been with Interactive Kids for 9 years.  Christy’s love is working with children and teens along with their families using primarily a solution focused and cognitive-behavior approach.  Christy strongly believes that we need to develop the coping skills and problem-solving techniques in our children and teens to assist them in developing resiliency to use in their daily lives to keep them moving forward in a world with many stressors.

Christy is born and raised in the South Jersey area.  Christy has three young-adult children. Outside of work, she has many interests.  Christy loves the outdoors and can be frequently seen taking early morning walks on the beach to watch the sun rise.  She has a creative side and enjoys knitting, taking pictures, and writing poetry.  Christy incorporates mindfulness and gratitude to stay positive and present focused in her personal and professional life.

Logan MacIntosh is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of our Linwood office, where she has worked for 4 years. Logan enjoys teaching all the little humans about their feelings, how to be a sweet friend, and promoting positive communication and consistency within family systems. At Interactive Kids, Logan is a therapist, staffing coordinator, and Co-host on The Interactive Journey Podcast. Logan has experience helping children, adults,  and families to address trauma, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, behavioral needs, developmental disabilities, and family dynamics.
